A specified group-contribution method is developed to estimate vapor-liquid equilibria of associated binary polymer solutions. Our proposed model shows good agreements with experimental data in solvent activity estimations for associated binary polymer solutions. Also, we investigated phase transition of thermosensitive homopolymer gels (N-isopropylacrylamide, N-cyclopropylacryladmie, N-n-propylacrylamide), We used the modified double-lattice mixing model and Flory-Erman’s elastic model to describe swelling behaviors of polymer gels. Group energy parameters were obtained from the proposed group contribution model. Calculated values are in good agreement with experimental results for the given systems. |
