제목 Improved Performance of Inkjet Printed n-Channel Field-Effect Transistors Using TiOx Interfacial Layer
초록 We demonstrate n-channel organic filed-effect transistors (OFETs) with improved performance by introducing a titanium sub-oxide (TiOx) injection layer. In this devices, an n-type fullerene derivative, [6, 6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PC61BM) is used as the active layer. Improved injection of electrons from the semiconducting later to the electrode is achieved because the TiOx layer reduces contact resistance between contact electrodes and an organic semiconductor layer. Moreover, the TiOx layer can effectively improve the lifetime by protecting the active layer from oxygen and moisture. Here, the active layer and contact electrodes are fabricated by inkjet printing so that we may see the potential to be mass-produced via printing technologies for the future.
