Fabrication of flower-like palladium structure using peptide as a template and its effect on catalytic activities in copper-free Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction in water |
초록 |
Peptide building blocks have not only biocompatibility but also chemical versatility. Therefore, many researcher groups have studied peptides for making nanostructures having various functional properties. Particularly, peptide self-assembly process plays a critical role in regulating various functions such as bio-mineralization and catalytic activity. Recently, we have reported on tyrosine-rich peptides (TRPs) assembling into nano-film at air-water. Here, we have found that both peptide assembly and the formation of metal nanoparticles (NPs) can be easily manipulated when metal ions are mixed with TRPs. We have noticed that TRPs could induce reduction of palladium (II) ion to flower-like Pd nanostructure that is composed of uniform sized NPs (5-6 nm). The folding and conformational change of the peptides with Pd+2 ions made the Pd nanoflowers (NFs). In addition, Pd NFs showed excellent catalytic activities in copper-free Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction in water. |
