Layer-by-layer(LbL) films were prepared between poly(diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride) (PDDA) and sulfonated polymers such as sulfonated poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (sPPO) and sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (sPEEK). PPO and PEEK have good thermal/mechanical properties. and their highly sulfonated analogs exhibit good proton conductivity but poor methanol permeability. LbL technique have advantage in control of ionic conductivity and permeability of membrane. So, the methanol permeability of sPPO or sPEEK with high degree of sulfonation was tried to be modified by LbL technique. Other properties of membrane were also investigated. |
