This study is about the post-polymerization as a part of the TEMs(Thermally expandable microspheres) manufactures in order to eliminate yellowing occurring in a foaming body, especially for the effect of initiator. Sodium bisulfite, Sodium sulfide, and Rongalite(Sodium oxymethylene sulfoxylate) as initiators were chosen for this study. in case of Sodium bisulfite and Rongalite, good expandable properties and whiteness were shown, but sodium sulfide ruptured TEMs. It seems to occur due to high reduction property of sodium sulfide. |
