Synthesis and Characterization of Modified Poly(BA-co-MMA) Matrix System for Releasing Antifouling Agents |

Modified Poly(butyl acrylate-co-methyl methacrylate) matrix system was studied to fabricate a film to apply antifouling agents release test. Modified silicones were also introduced for the system to improve a water resistance and antifouling agents release rate. Molecular weights of the copolymer are able to affect on the performance of adhesive, Tg and surface properties. The copolymer was characterized by 1H-NMR, FT-IR, DSC, and TGA. Also, it was observed that the modified the system had been formed micro channels to release antifouling agents in various conditions by SEM image. As a result of this, we confirmed that the modified matrix system had not only a potential ability to release antifouling agents but controlled for releasing. |
