Pd catalysts, one of the precious metal catalysts, are expensive and complicated to reuse. Therefore, it is important to recover the Pd catalyst after the catalytic reaction and reuse it without losing its activity. To solve the problems, in this study, we prepared a porouspolyimide/Pd catalyst composite (PI/Pd-C). PdCl2, one of the Pd catalyst, was used as pickering particle to stabilize emulsion. Also, it was fixed to the surface of the pores in PI/Pd-C. Poly (amic acid) salt (PAAS) was synthesized by pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA), 4,4'-oxydianiline (ODA) and triethylamine in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP). Polyimide/Pd catalys temulsion (PI/Pd-E) was prepared by adding cyclohexane as internal phase in PAAS/PdCl2-aqueous dispersion and homogenization. The PI/Pd-C was prepared by thermal imidization of the lyophilized PI/Pd-E. The characteristics of the PI/Pd-C, including its morphology, thermal decomposition temperature, and catalyst efficiency were investigated. |
