제목 | Single-Layered Films of Diblock Copolymer Micelles in Long-Range Order |
초록 | We fabricated a single-layered film of polystyrene-block-poly(4-vinyl pyridine), PS-PVP, diblock copolymer micelles in long-range order by solvent treatment. In toluene, a selective solvent for the PS block, spherical micelles of PS-PVP diblock copolymers consisting of the PS corona and the PVP core were formed. From this toluene solution, a single-layered film of the micelles was fabricated on the substrate such as silicon wafers by spin coating. The film was made of hexagonal arrays of the micelles in short-range order. When the micellar film was directly exposed to toluene again, no effect on the morphology was observed. However, when the film was exposed to DMF, a non-selective neutral solvent for PS-PVP diblock copolymers, parallel cylinders of the PVP blocks were obtained as like the bulk morphology of PS-PVP copolymers used. In contrast, exposure of the film to THF, a less selective solvent for PS-PVP diblock copolymers, induced the long-range order of the micelles as well as the narrow size distribution of the micelles. This single-layered film of the micelles in long-range order can be used to generate well-ordered arrays of nanoparticles. Fig 1.
