Highly monodisperse PS micro-sized particles have received much attention due to their applications in electronic, electric, and bio-related fields. Poly(ethyleneimine) (PEI) as an polyelectrolyte is an excellent chemical for treatment of highly anionic materials. We synthesized the micron-sized monodisperse PS beads via dispersion polymerization using PEI as a stabilizer. The characters of prepared microparticles were examined. And the effective parameters including monomer concentration, initiator concentration, stabilizer concentration, and changes in medium during the polymerization were examined. |
