The novel anion exchange membranes were synthesized by modified polyvinylidenefluoride (PVDF) and aminated 4-toluidine. Before aminating, 4-toluidine was brominated by N-bromosuccinimide (NBS). The chemical structure of PVDF anion exchange membranes were investigated by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR). The molecules of precursor were measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and also the membrane's properties such as swelling ratio (S.R), water uptake (W.U), ion exchange capacity (IEC) and electric resistance (E.R) were measured by back titration and LCR meter etc. |
