제목 | The Novel Photochromic Polymer System Composed of Spiropyran and Dihydroindolizine for Application to Color Filer Technology |
초록 | The development of new photochromic polymers has potential interests in applications such as optical memory devices and liquid crystal display. We have synthesized the new polymer system by using spiropyran and dihydroindolizine derivatives for Blue, Red, and Green photochromic materials, respectively. In this study, the prototype of color filter was fabricated with red, green, and blue photochromic materials respectively to evaluate the potential for applying to the liquid crystal display. Furthermore, the stability of the colored species for each dye was determined with photo-accelerated decolorization process. To improve the stability of photochromism, we add the electrolyte or chalcone-epoxy polymer to control the environmental condition around the photochromic dyes in the film state. The UV-Vis absorption spectral and dynamic analyses of photoreaction kinetics for each photochromic dye were carried out to investigate the stability of photochromism in the polymer film. |
