A statistical design of the experiment was performed to optimize the MOF-801 synthesis process. Concentrations of terephthalic acid (TPA), iron(III) chloride hexahydrate, N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and ethanol were important factors for developing the crystal structure of MOF-801. MOF-801 was synthesized at various concentrations and the crystallinity was measured by XRD. The effect of composition on the synthesis of MOF-801 was assessed using statistical analysis. In the analysis of variance through the F test, the concentration of ethanol had the greatest effect on the crystallinity, and the effect of TPA was minimized. The prediction results of two synthetic variables from which a regression model predicting the crystallinity of MOF-801 was derived were presented using contour lines. Finally, the degree of crystallinity was predicted by the mixing method of FeCl3, ethanol, and DMF. |
