Crystallizationis an important particle manufacturing and purification method that has beenused in many industrial fields for a long time. It has recently become moreimportant due to its intrinsic advantage of the low energy use. Particularly,in the pharmaceutical industry, various physical properties of drugs such asbioavailability, processability, and stability, are determined by the size,structure, and surface properties of crystal particles obtained throughcrystallization. When a small amount of polymer chains is dissolved whencrystallizing a drug, these polymer chains can significantly change thecrystallization behavior of the drug. Therefore, it can be used as a means ofchanging various properties of drug crystal particles. In this study, the roleof polymer chains in the crystallization of various model drugs was studied. |
