Thermal- and photo-responsive O/W emulsion prepared by pluronic F127-cinnamic acid conjugate |

Thermal- and photo-responsive O/W emulsion was prepared by pluronic F127-cinnamic acid conjugate (PCA). Firstly, Pluronic F-127-Cinnamic acid was synthesized by esterification which was confirmed 1HNMR and FTIR. Moreover, critical micelle concentration (CMC) of PCA was studied by a method using pyrene as a fluorescence label compared with pluronic F127. As shown, CA decreased the surface activity when conjugating to pluronic F127. Then 0.08g PCA was dissolved in 4mL of distill water. After adding 1mL mineral oil, O/W emulsions were formed. Also pluronic emlusion was prepared using same method as a control group. The size of emulsions were measured on invented microscopy. The stability of emulsion was investigated by measuring the size change of emlusion affected by UV irradiation (254nm, 6W) and temperature. |
