Pluronic F127-cinnamic acid (PCA), a versatile modified polymer, was potential for a dual-sensitive including thermal- and photo-sensitive drug carrier. Alginate-cinnamic acid (ACA) was also a mainly used material in drug delivery system by our group and others. Herein, PCA was conjugated with ACA by UV irradiation (365nm, 6W) to form cross-linked PCA/ACA microgels. Firstly, the modification of PCA and ACA were confirmed by 1HNMR and FTIR. Moreover, the phase transition temperature of PCA, PCA/ACA was studied by a pyrene method. On the other hand, the surface tension of PCA, ACA, PCA/ACA treated with and without UV irradiation was investigated by a ring method. The mean size of PCA/ACA microgels with different UV irradiation time and different temperature was obtained on a dynamic light scattering machine and the shapes of molecular syringe were shown in TEM photos. This novel microgels formed by photo-inducing conjugate of PCA and ACA can be very potential for drug delivery. |
