2D transition metal carbides and nitrides (MXenes) have gained considerable attention in the past decade owing to their various advantages including metallic conductivity and hydrophilicity. To date, a variety of methods for solution processing of MXenes have been proposed, based on their unique rheological properties, yet spray coating of concentrated suspensions has not been realized due to the vitrification of the suspensions at high particle loadings. In this study, we examine the rheological properties of concentrated aqueous colloidal suspensions of multi-layer MXenes in the presence of several water-soluble polymers, to develop spray-coatable MXene inks at high particle loadings. |
