Among all butadiene rubber(BR) grades, NdBR possesses superior properties, such as better rolling resistance and better abrasion, which are among the most important factors of tires. Natural Rubber(NR)/NdBR/SiO2 composites having reactive compatibilizers were prepared by 3 step mixing procedures including the masterbatching process. The final mixtures were cured with optimum cure condition, which was established by the rheometer. Maleimidopropyl triethoxysilane grafted rubber(MISR) were prepared by reaction of maleic anhydride grafted rubber and 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane. MISR were used as the compatibilizers of Natural rubber/NdBR/SiO2 composites. The effects of compositional variation and the amounts of compatibilizers in the composites on the cure characteristics, morphology, physical and mechanical behaviors were investigated. The composites made from precipitated silica were also evaluated. |
