제목 Fluorene-based conjugated polymers for photovoltaic applications: synthesis and characterization
초록 Recently, we synthesized a polymer consisting of alternating fluorenes and the ester group-substituted thieno[3,4-b]thiophene units (PFTT), which showed the band gap of 2.0 eV and HOMO level of 5.58 eV. When the polymer was blended with PCBM and used as active layers of solar cells, the maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the devices was 0.69%. On the other hand, tetrazine has higher electron-afnity and can act as a strong electron-decient unit in a resulting alternating conjugated polymer to lower its HOMO level. In this study, a counterpart polymer containing tetrazine instead of the ester group-substituted thieno[3,4-b]thiophene units (PFTz) was synthesized. As expected, the value of band gap and HOMO level of PFTz were lower than those of PFTT. When PFTz-based solar cells were fabricated, the maximum PCE was 0.79%. The experimental results will be presented in details.
