제목 | Enhancing PEC properties through insertion of PCBM/C70 between photoelectrode and cathode |
초록 | Photoelectrochemical water splitting is considered as a promising method of transforming solar energy into chemical energy stored in the type of hydrogen. There are a lot of trials to enhance PEC efficiency through controlling of band gap or reducing overpotential. But in this study, we attempt to reduce recombination of hole and electron. An additional PC70BM / C70 layer was inserted between the FTO layer and photoelectrode (ZnO / WO3) to enhance the electron extraction efficiency. As a result we confirm that the enhanced photocurrent in PEC cells with a PC70BM / C70 layer was attributed to effective quenching of electron–hole recombination. The photocurrent was measured in potentiostatic method with the three electrode system. A Pt wire and Ag / Agcl electrode were used as the counter electrode and the reference electrode, respectively. photocurrent-time (I-T) curve was measured at a bias potential of 1.0 V. |
