In-situ micro patterning of PEDOT thin film using screen printing |

Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) has been studied for flexible transparent electrode in flexible display and electronics. Screen printing is a very powerful technique to make large area patterns with micro scale resolution. In this study, screen printing of PEDOT pattern was carried out using pre-polymerized PEDOT solution on various substrates. Pre-polymerized PEDOT solution was obtained by mixing the monomer (EDOT, PVP and pyridine) and oxidant (ferric p-toluene sulfonate) solutions and leaving the mixture for a desired time. The pre-polymerized PEDOT pattern was first formed using screen printing. PEDOT pattern was then obtained by post-polymerization in an oven at 70°C for 20 minutes and washing with methanol and drying. Electrical conductivity of PEDOT patterns was in the range of 400~700 S/cm and the resolution of the pattern was about a few tens micron. |
