A Heat-treated Membrane based on a Carboxylated Polymer of Intrinsic Microporosity (PIM-COOH) for Water Treatment |
초록 |
Membrane filtration method have been regarded as the most sustainable technology to produce clean water from contaminated water and a tremendous of membranes with different chemical and physical structures have been prepared for water purification. Here, we report the synthesis and characterization of heat treated membranes derived from a carboxylated polymer of intrinsic microporosity (PIM-COOH). The prepared membranes have the same sub-nanosized pore characteristics but they show different chemical composition, carbon to oxygen ratio, with the applied temperature increased. The carbonized PIM-COOH membrane with the highest C/O ratio exhibited the high water flux (4.16 LMH bar-1) and retained good MgSO4 rejection (~82%). |
