Sophora flavescens Aiton is well known in oriental herb medicine. Extracts of this herb contain numerous flavonoids as well as several alkaloids. In this work, flovonoids were isolated and characterized by ESI-MS, 1D-NMR (1H, 13C) and DEPT of 2D-NMR data (HMQC, HMBC, HMCOSY). Depending on the structural characteristics, they exhibit different degrees of anti-inflammatory activity via inhibitory effect in conjunction with the suppression of inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS)and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) in IFN-ϓ /LPS stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. |
