제목 Biomimetic modification of a radially aligned fibrous scaffold with RGD peptide for regulating hMSC behaviors
초록 Arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD) peptide has attracted a lot of interest to a biomaterial field due to its capability involving integrins-mediated signaling. In this study, we developed RGD peptide immobilized-radially aligned fibrous scaffold (RAFS) through polydopamine (PD) coating and investigated hMSC behaviors on the scaffold. RAFS was prepared by an electrospinning method, which was subsequently coated with PD. Immobilization of RGD peptide was determined by fluorescent labeling and XPS. During the hMSC culture, RGD-modified RAFS exhibited higher cell adhesion and spread ability even under serum-free condition. Both radial feature and RGD peptide affected further cell migration and proliferation. Therefore, our scaffold with the structural and biological features for actively regulating cell fate can be a novel scaffold for tissue engineering.
