The present work is attempted to improve the performance for the removal of water from ethanol/water mixtures through ion-exchanged zeolite membrane inwhich Na+ is substituted to Li+, K+, Ca+. It was obtained by the ion-exchange method from NaA zeolite. The membranes were ion-exchanged with 0.1-0.5 mole/L aqueous solution of LiCl, KCl, CaCl2 at 25℃, 80℃ for 4hr. The effects of the concentration of ethanol at the feed side and the temperature were studied on the permeation flux and the separation factor of water. |
