제목 Energy-independentgene delivery mediated by mimics of cell-penetratingpeptides polymer
초록 Cellpenetrating peptides (CPPs), a series of cationic that exert macromoleculartransduction across the membrane were identified. Since CPPs have an ability tomediate transfer of macromolecules across the cell membraneendocytosis-dependent processes, Those are used for intracellular delivery ofsmall molecules, proteins, and nucleic acid drugs. A class of bile acids (BAs)such as deoxycholic acid (DA) has an unusual structural feature in which two tothree hydrophilic hydroxyl groups face to the same direction and hydrophobicsteroidal hydrocarbons orient to the opposite direction. The structural featureis similar to the CPPs which may play an important role for the membrane fusionor permeabilization of the peptide. Herein, a molecular amphiphile (BA) and acationic polymer, polyethylenimine(PEI), one of the most widely used genecarriers were conjugated to mime the CPPs.
