Electrospun PVDF nanofiber was prepared as a piezoelectric sensor under applied strain and humidity. Electrospinning facility was prepared to obtain unidirectional aligned, structurally oriented. The fiber spinning velocity, fiber drawing ratio, spinning distance and the temperature are very important parameters to control PVDF fiber alignment. Mechanical and electrical resistance of random and oriented 0° and 90° directional PVDF fibers were compared to each other. Due to different types of electrical contacting points, 0° case showed higher mechanical properties and lower electrical resistance than 90° case, as expected. Humidity sensing of PVDF fber was monitored under constant temperature. Electrospun PVDF nanofiber can be available practically to multi-functional sensing applications nondestructively.
