제목 MOF-derived Cobalt Catalyst for Reversible Acceptorless Dehydrogenation and Hydrogenation of Organic Hydrogen Carrier
초록 Hydrogen is considering as a clean and future energy carrier, nontoxic and an alternative to fossil fuels, because water is the only by-product in the conversion into energy through combustion or fuel cells, thus eliminating emission of greenhouse gases. Storing hydrogen in the form of liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHCs) is a highly attractive alternative to current options but it requires the development of ideally single catalyst for both reversible dehydrogenation and hydrogenation reaction of carrier under mild conditions. Here, we present our reusable heterogeneous cobalt catalyst for reversible acceptorless dehydrogenation and hydrogenation of tetrahydroquinoline-quinoline derivatives. Further, the hydrogen uptake and release is demonstrated by two consecutive cycles under optimized conditions.
