제목 | Preparation of re-dispersible Ceria-fluorine polymer O-I hybrid nanoparticles using different alkoxysilane compounds and investigation of radical scavenging performances. |
초록 | Radical attack and chemical degradation are the crucial issues that the membranes made from PEM and AEM solutions have to face off during operation. Nevertheless, the commercial radical scavengers are not able to profoundly solve these abovementioned issues due to the lack of nano-scaled dispersibility, thus leading to the aggregation and chemical stability reduction. In this study, new samples of highly re-dispersible ceria nanocomposite particles (M-CeNP &T-CeNP) were synthesized using different alkoxysilane compounds and then re-dispersed in various polymers and organic solvents at nanoscales. The chemical stability of membrane coupons prepared from PEM and AEM solutions was indeed improved thanks to the exceptional radical scavenging performances of M-CeNP and T-CeNP, respectively. The formation of ceria nanocomposite particles in PEM and AEM solutions and chemical stability of membrane coupons were assessed by SEM, DLS, TGA, and Fenton test. |
