Recently, interest in semi-transparent solar cells for the power generating architectures such as windows and roof tops has emerged. Over the last few years, perovskite solar cells (PeSCs) have been introduced as an interesting next generation photovoltaics due to their moderate efficiency and low cost solution processibility. In case of planar heterojunction PeSCs composed of transparent electrode/perovskite/fullene derivative/top-electrode, high cost indium doped tin oxide (ITO) is commonly used as transparent electrode. In this study, to demonstrate ITO-free semi-transparent PeSCs, copper (Cu) which is well known for its better corrosion resistance, non-oxidizing acids and the similar work function with ITO was investigated. Moreover, effect of interfacial buffer layers on the performance and stability will be discussed. |
