제목 | Study of Tumor Chemoresistance Characteristics Cultured in Different Platforms |
초록 | For decades, scientists have been using two dimensional (2D) culture technique which is easy to handle, maintain and analysis cell growth. It makes biologists study cells and tissues easier, and gives the fundamental biological information. With these reasons, 2D cell culture has proven indispensable for a variety of applications ranging from research to industrial perspectives. Most tumor studies also rely on the analysis of cells grown in 2D cell culture. However, these models failed to reconstitute the in vivo cellular microenvironment. As a result, it showed different chemoresistance characteristics from the in vivo model. Thus, more than 90% of new agents which are believed potential antitumor drug in in vivo condition are not able to pass the test in in vitro. To fully understand the nature of the tumor, it is important to study in environments that are similar to complex biological conditions. In this study, we have cultured tumor cells in a variety conditions such as 2D vs 3D, static condition vs fluidic condition, and PDL coating vs matrigel coating to see growth and chemoresistances in different conditions and to compare with in vivo conditions. |
