We report here the results of a base composition and the nature of the cation effect on the binding between G-quadruplex and pyrene attached porphyrin. The structural stabilities of the parallel form G-quadruplex(S1) was enhanced when pyrene-TMPyP(py-TMPyP) associate to S1. In contrast to S1, thermal stability of the complexes of py-TMPyP bound to S2 and S3 are much less than the case of porphyrin absence. The binding constant seems independent on the base sequence and the nature of the cation, as well. Taken together, these findings suggest that the base composition, structural conformation and the nature of cation effects on the thermal stabilities and binding affinities of G-quadruplex-py-TMPyP complexes. |
