제목 Side chain effects using Foster energy transfer in white organic light-emitting devices
초록 We made the devices to observe the effects of the side chain length of polyfluorene (PF) in PF/poly(2,2'-ethyloxy)-5-methoxy-1,4-phenylenevinylene) (MEHPPV) blends. PFs used in this experiment were poly(9,9-dihexylenefluorene) (PDHF), poly(9,9-dicyclohexylheptylfluorene) (PDHHF), poly(9,9-dioctylenefluorene) (PDOF). The side chain length of PFs is 7.64Å(PDHF), 10.18Å(PDOF) and 13.13Å(PDHHF). In PL and EL, the efficient energy transfer was observed in PDHF/MEHPPV while inefficient energy transfer occurred in PDOF/MEHPPV and PDHHF/MEHPPV. Particularly in PDHF/MEHPPV, we can observed white light emission because of efficient energy transfers. As a result of this study, a side chain length and a geometrical shape of light-emitting polymers are important factors to energy transfers and white light emission.
