In this study, we have proposed a optimal operation combination for the purpose of increasing the sinter productivity in each mixing ratio of fine ore. Three operating parameters, including the quick lime ratio, bed height and bulk density, were selected and all experimental campaigns were conducted on a pilot-scale sinter pot to simulate various sintering operating conditions of a real-scale sinter plant. But it should be noted that the results obtained from the present study were based on pilot scale experiments, conducting confirmation tests in a real scale plant are still necessary in the future. This study shows that optimal quick lime ratio is 2% when mixing ratio of fine ore is 0% and 7.5%. And 2.5% is optimal quick lime ratio when mixing ratio of fine ore is 15% and 22.5%. The Productivity decreases with the increasing of bed height and bulk density regardless of mixing ratio of fine ore. Strength increases with the increasing of bed height and the decreasing of bulk density. |
