제목 Cross-linked micron bead with functionalized Quantum dot as a color conversion layers on a blue light emitting diode
초록 Photo-stable micro bead with funcionalized Quantum dots (QDs) are synthesized by suspension polymerization. It is found that the micro bead show almost the same optical porperties (i.e., in therms of emission PL spectra and quantum yields (QYs)) as those of Qds with oleci acid (OA) ligands. the diameter of the spherical beads was in the range 80-150㎛ and QDs 13 nm in diameter were found to be evenly dispersed in the polymer beads. The QD-polymer beads were applied to color conversion layers (CCL) on a blue light emitting diode (LED). The QD-polymer beads showed a 50 % reduction over 72 h from the initial optical efficiency, while the QDs embedded in the PMMA matrix was reduced by 50 % for 14 h
