Nafion composite membrane contained functionalized MOF for vanadium redox flow battery |
초록 |
Vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) has been studied because of long life and stability. The membrane constituting the VRFB blocks the anolyte and catholyte. Nafion, the most widely used commercial ion exchange membrane, has excellent chemical stability and conductivity. However, since Nafion has an ion cluster of a size capable of permeating vanadium multivalent, one vanadium ions permeate to the other. It reduces the capacity of the VRFB. Functionalized Metal-Organic Framework(MOF) was selected as the material of the composite membrane. MOF is a crystalline compound and is a porous material. Al-based CAU-10-H has a micropore and a channel type window of similar size to vanadium multivalent. In this study, two hydrophilic functional groups, -SO3H and -OH, were applied to CAU-10-H. The composite membrane was fabricated by dispersing functionalized MOFs to Nafion. The physicochemical properties of the composite membrane were compared with Nafion115. |
