Few-layer graphene sheets were successfully separated from graphite with the different amounts of polyaniline (PANI) in an organic solvent. A simple sonication process allowed the dispersion of graphene sheets with PANI glues, demonstrating the capability of the PANI glues as the efficient intercalant. The PANI glues act as a conductive bridge between graphene sheets and additionally they provide a good mechanical strength to the resultant graphene/PANI glue composites. Free-standing films consisting of graphene and PANI were readily prepared, which might be utilized for various applications, such as functional composites, conductive inks, and electrode materials. |
