Synthesis ofperfluoroalkyl alcohol: 3-(perfluorooctyl)propan-2-ol |
초록 |
3-(Perfluorooctyl)propan-2-ol, C11H7F17O, was synthesized by using alcoholization. The synthesis consists of two steps: (1) addition of olefin propylene to a perfluorooctyl iodide, C8F17I to give the corresponding iodo-adduct perfluorooctyl propyl iodide C11H6F17I; (2) hydrolysis of the adduct by water with dimethylformamide (DMF) giving the final product. Product and adduct are analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) to determine the amount and quality. Under an optimal condition, the product and adduct were yielded at high reaction performance. 99% of the adduct was formed at the step (1), and 95% of the product was obtained at the step (2). |
