제목 The influence of mandelic acid excess on the solubility of diastereomers in the chiral resolution by L-phenylalanine
초록 In the present study, we pointed to the influence of racemate mandelic acid excess on the solubility of the two diastereomeric salts formed by mandelic acid and the resoving agent L-phenylalanine. The results has shown that the solubility of L-mandelic.L-phenylalanine was reduced in the presence of D-mandelic.L-phenylalanine. In addition, in the little excess of mandelic acid, the solubility of L-mandelic.L-phenylalanine was inversely proportional to the increase of mnadelic acid. At a high excess, however, mandelic acid make L-mandelic.L-phenylalanine dissolve better. As a result, the optical purity improvement can be obtain certainly.
