Facile One-Step Fabrication of Durable Superhydrophobic Surfaces Using Organic - Inorganic Hybrid Hierarchical Structures. |

In this study, we demonstrate a simple spin-coating method for the preparation of superhydrophobic surface using organic-inorganic hybrid hierarchical structure. Superhydrophobic surfaces were fabricated by mixture of inorganic aluminum NPs and organic crosslinker. The hierarchical structure was formed by the two different size aluminum NPs. The presence of crosslinker in the coating lead to enhancement in both hydrophobicity and stability. The resulting coated surface displayed a static water contact angle greater than 150° and a small sliding angle. Moreover, the coated superhydrophobic surfaces were still retained the superhydrophobicity after stability test. |
