제목 Synthesis and characterization of biodegradable star-shaped PLGA-PEG block copolymer
초록 Temperature sensitive polymers for drug delivery system have been studied intensively for the past two decades. In this study, biodegradable star-shaped poly((D,L-lactide-co-glycolide)-block-ethylene glycol) (star PLGA-PEG) of which PEG block molecular weight was 550 were synthesized and characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and GPC. Star PLGA were synthesized by bulk ring opening polymerization of D,L-lactide and glycolide on nontoxic glycerol. Hydroxyl end group of mono methoxy PEG (MW = 550) were carboxylated and coupled with the hydroxyl terminal group of star-PLGA. The temperature dependent sol-gel transition behaviors of block copolymers in aqueous solution were investigated by tube inversion method. The effective diameter of micelle of star PLGA-PEG block copolymers in aqueous solution was measured by dynamic light scattering with varying temperature.
