Combustion Mechanism Study of Tungsten-Based Delay Mixtures |

A study on the thermal properties, chemical composition and structure analysis of tungsten delay mixtures was conducted to understand the combustion mechanism of tungsten delay mixtures. As a result of the analysis, the delay time of the tungsten-based delay mixture could be influenced by the chemical property of the oxidants. In the case of a tungsten delay mixture in which the same ratio of raw materials is mixed, the difference in particle size does not have a significant effect on the delay time. However, since the difference in particle size of each raw material of the tungsten delay mixture may be a factor that determines the delay time, additional study on the particle size analysis of each raw material is required. |
