제목 Single and multicomponent adsorption of nitrate and phosphate on zeolite
초록 The present work deals with the adsorption characteristics of nitrate and phosphate on zeolite from single and multicomponent systems. The adsorbent material was prepared using alkali fusion and hydrothermal methods. The obtained single component equilibrium data were fitted to Langmuir, Freundlich and Sips isotherms. In addition, the binary adsorption of nitrate and phosphate was compared with extended Langmuir, extended Sips, and ideal adsorbed solution theory (IAST) predictions. In our work, IAS-Langmuir model fitted satisfactorily to the binary adsorption data over the entire range compared with other models. In addition, homogeneous surface diffusion model (HSDM) was used to investigate the adsorption kinetic behavior of nitrate and phosphate. Our results indicate that the effective diffusion coefficients are greatly dependent on the concentration and the coefficient values determined are greater for phosphate than for nitrate.
