제목 SERS Nanoprobe Immunoassays for Non-invasive Diagnosis of Early-stage Alzheimer’s Disease
초록 It is important to diagnoseAlzheimer’s disease (AD) at the early pathological stage. Imaging of β-amyloid(Aβ) peptides using positron-emission tomography (PET) or quantification of Aβin cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) has been proposed for AD diagnosis, however, thesemethods are costly and very invasive. Detection of Aβ peptides such as Aβ40 andAβ42 from blood is considered a promising diagnostic for early stage of AD, whichis of a great challenge due to their low levels, which required a sensitive andmultiplexed sensing method. Here, we demonstrate a surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) nanoprobes-based immunoassay for the sensitive detection of Aβ peptides inhuman blood. Silver nanoparticles bearing Raman label compounds were prepared asSERS nanoprobes, producing strong and stable SERS signals without overlapping. The SERS nanoprobes, conjugated with an antibodyspecific to Aβ40 or Aβ42, could selectively detect the AD biomarkers from the human serum.
