Recently, organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite has attracted great attention as a next generation material for solar cell. For solution-processible planar heterojunction structure, PEDOT:PSS and PCBM are commonly used as hole and electron transporting layer, respectively. In this architecture, sufficiently thick PCBM layer is required to prevent direct contact between rough perovskite film and metal electrode. However, relatively low electron mobility and low electric conductivity of PCBM afford a limitation to realize high power conversion efficiency (PCE). In this study, we introduced an n-type dopant, 1,3-dimethyl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-benzoimidazole (DMBI), to enhance the electric conductivity of PCBM. When a small amount of DMBI was added to PCBM and the mixture was then spin-coated to form an electron transporting layer, the solar cell device showed remarkable enhancement of short-circuit current and PCE. |
