제목 바이오매스 유래 탄수화물로부터 퓨란 화합물로의 화학적 전환 (Chemical Conversion of Biomass-derived Carbohydrates into Furan Compounds)
초록 Biomass-derived carbohydrates photosynthesized from atmospheric carbon dioxide attract much attention due to its abundance and availability. Until now, a number of efforts have been dedicated to transform biomass-derived carbohydrates into fuels and value-added chemicals. Furan compounds are among most promising candidates to replace an oil refinery-derived fuels and chemicals. In this presentation I talk about various chemical conversion of biomass-derived carbohydrate into furan platform compounds such as 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural (HMF) and 5-acetoxymethyl-2-furfural (AMF). In addition, further transformation of the furan platform into 2,5-diformylfuran (DFF) and 2,5-furan dicarboxylic acid (FDCA) known as promising monomers of bioplastics is presented.
