Synthesis and Characterization of Amide-modified Polyesters based on PTT and Nylon 3,T |
초록 |
A new type of copolyesteramide [P(TT/TA)] has been synthesized using dimethyl terepthalate (DMT), T3T-dimethyl and 1,3-propane diol (PDO) as monomers through the DMT process. The feed ratio of T3T-dimethyl in the P(TT/TA) synthesis was varied from 5-50 mol%. The melt polymerization was followed by solid state postcondensation at 185oC in vacuum oven to increase the molecular weight. The main disadvantage with increasing amide content (>15 mol%) is that, during applications at high temperatures, P(TT/TA) is thermally degraded and is difficult to obtain a polymer of high molecular weight or to maintain structural order and the results are reported here.
