제목 β-crystalline phase of poly(vinylidene fluoride) film induced by metal salt such as CaCl2
초록 PVDF materials exhibit piezo-, pyro- and ferroelectricity which can be used in electronic applications. However, the PVDF film requires drawing for inducing the β-crystalline phase for use in electronic applications and hence has some commercial limitations. Many previous studies have reported high β-crystal content in PVDF films containing metal salts such as MnCl2. In this work, we attempted to study the effect of CaCl2 content on the crystalline phases in PVDF film in order to obtain an highly functional PVDF film with significant β-crystalline phase. FT-IR and XRD studies were used for analyzing the crystalline phases. The introduction of metal salt (CaCl2) into PVDF solution improved the β-crystalline phase content appreciably and the results are reported in detail here.
