제목 Copolymerization of Ethylene oxide and Epibromohydrin using Cationic Ring-Opening Polymerization
초록 The well-defined copolymer derived from ethylene oxide(EO) and epibromohydrin(EBH) was synthesized by the cationic ring-opening polymerization with 1,4-butanediol as an initiator and BF3O(C2H5)2 as a catalyst system. This polymerization was proceeded by activated monomer (AM) mechanism to control the molecular weight, narrow molecular weight distribution, and the functionality. Also this polymerization had the living polymerization characteristic. The structure and the composition of synthesized copolymers have been characterized by 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The molecular weight and the molecular weight distribution of their copolymer have been analyzed by gel-permeation chromatography (GPC)
