제목 Comparison of lactic acid production among three Pediococcus strains in presence of high glucose concentration and lignocelluloses derived inhibitors
초록 Pediococcus acidilactici DQ2, an isolate from fermentation broth of corn stover hydrolysate for ethanol production, showed an outstanding performance in lactic acid production with corn stover hydroysate as carbon source. In order to examine whether this outstanding performance is strain-specific or species-specific, three pediococcus strains, two strains of P. acidilactici (DQ2 and DSM 20284) and one strain of P. pentosaceus (ATCC 25745), were compared for their lactic acid production in presence of high glucose concentration and six inhibitors derived from lignocelluloses materials when hydrolysed by diluted acid.  It proved that P. acidilactici DQ2 had a better performance than the other two strains and thus the outstanding performance of DQ2 is unique feature of this specific strain.
