제목 Optimization study of one-step synthesis of laurolactam via Beckmann rearrangement
초록 Polyamide 12 (PA 12) elastomers are essential subgroups of polyamide based thermoplastic elastomers (TPE). PA 12 elastomers are composed of block copolymers in which the hard segments and the soft segments. By controlling the content of hard and soft segments, it is possible to polymerize elastomers with various physical properties. Laurolactam is mainly used as a monomer of PA 12, which is a compound with high demand in the world. Nevertheless, the domestic market has not yet established a basis for mass production of laurolactam. In this study, we report the new one-step synthesis of laurolactam from cyclododecanone via Beckmann rearrange reaction. By optimizing the reaction conditions, the conventional two-step process of obtaining laurolactam through synthesis of laurolactam-oxime and its rearrangement was reduced to one-step process. Excellent results were obtained in scale-up experiments for minimizing solvent usage and mass production.
